Accommodations: Guest rooms and suites are housed in 5-story pastel buildings with terracotta roofs and Moorish arches. Each has a terrace or balcony with views of the ocean, beach, or gardens. Amenities include air-conditioning, satellite TV, phone, refrigerator, in-room safe, and hair-dryer. Suites feature Jacuzzis, solariums, and king-sized beds, and are popular honeymoon accommodations. Room service is available, and there is an on-site supermarket. TIP: Rooms in the 1000s are the quietest. Rooms in the 4000s are directly on the beach, though not as quiet.
Dining & Entertainment: There are 2 buffet-style restaurants -- El Pescador serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night fast food on the beachfront, while El Batey de la Costa serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an open-air setting. Las Olas is an a la carte restaurant that specializes in grilled dishes. For fine dining and a touch of romance, Chez Fontaine is an intimate, candlelit spot. NOTE: Meals at Chez Fontaine are not part of the All-Inclusive plan. There are 5 bars -- 2 poolside (1 for each pool), 2 beachfront, and a lobby bar. Vegas-style revues take the stage nightly, and dance music pumps up the 3-level nightclub.
Recreation: Large sundecks complement the 2 swimming pools, offering plenty of room to lounge and relax. You can also soak in plenty of sun on the white-sand beach, and enjoy the natural shade provided by palm trees. Water sports options include snorkeling, kayaking, and windsurfing. There's a fitness center, lighted tennis courts, and a sauna. Scooters and bicycles are available for rent. Language classes and dance lessons allow you to take home your own piece of Spanish culture. For kids, there's a waterslide, playground, and organized activity programs for the 5-12 crowd.
