Accommodations: The guest rooms are housed within 2-story colonial-style buildings. All rooms have balconies or ground-floor terraces, most with views of the ocean. All rooms are air-conditioned, and amenities include satellite TV, phone, in-room safe, mini-bar, and hairdryer. Room service is available.
Dining & Entertainment: El Tucan is the main restaurant, serving buffet-style meals with a selection of local and international fare, and open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. El Rancho is a steakhouse-style a la carte restaurant, open for dinner. NOTE: Meals at El Rancho are not included in the All-Inclusive plan, and require reservations. El Palenque is a snack bar that serves light fare from 12:30pm-11:00pm. Poolside drinks are available at El Ron Ron. El Cocobolo serves drinks until midnight. Nightly stage shows at the theater provide entertainment, and the dance club opens up afterwards. The casino offers a variety of table games, roulette, and 14 slot machines.
Recreation: There's plenty of room to relax poolside and on the beach, with lounge chairs for comfort, and thatch-roof shade when you need a break from the sun. Cool off in the large, lagoon-shaped pool, and unwind with a soak in the Jacuzzi. The 4-mile stretch of beach is perfect for romantic walks, and watching a sunset. Land activities include croquet, archery, ping pong, handball, volleyball, soccer, 3 tennis courts, and a fitness center. Non-motorized water sports are available and there are guided tours of the area, including horseback riding excursions. The PADI dive center has 3 levels of scuba certification, and also outfits you for snorkeling. The Mini-Club entertains your kids with structured, safe activities.
