Accommodations: There are 5 distinct styles of accommodations. The Yacht Club suites are the most luxurious, reminiscent of rooms in a Venetian palace, where guests enjoy a private concierge lounge and personal butler service. Tower rooms have a sophisticated, modern decor, and sweeping views of the ocean and resort grounds. The quaint Cloister rooms evoke the hotel’s original Spanish-Mediterranean design. The Boca Bungalows combine residential-style lodgings with the amenities of a first class hotel. NOTE: The Boca Beach Club area is currently undergoing an extensive renovation that, upon completion, will feature redesigned guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and bars, swimming pools, and improved beach access and facilities. These improvements are scheduled to be completed by late 2008.
Dining & Entertainment: There are 9 restaurants, bars, and cafes. Old Homestead Steak House is the newest, inspired by New York City’s famous, pre-revolution venue of the same name, serving choice cuts of beef and fresh seafood. Cathedral serves breakfast buffets and a la carte items. Lucca serves innovative Tuscan cuisine. The newly-opened Cielo specializes in Italian. Mulligan’s, located at the golf clubhouse, serves lunch. For drinks, there’s Mizner’s Monkey Bar, named for Addison Mizner, the hotel’s architect (and a character in the Stephen Sondheim musical Bounce), the poolside Gazebo, and Bar Luna, which offers more than 3,400 bottles of wine and champagne. There is an espresso bar in the lobby. Room service is available 24 hours.
Recreation: Diversions are plentiful. There are 2 championship, 18-hole golf courses, 30 tennis courts (12 lighted), 4 swimming pools, a comprehensive children’s program for guests ages 3-11, a fine collection of onsite shops, 2 state-of-the-art fitness centers, and the half-mile beach. NOTE: Though the Beach Club is closed for renovation, a Temporary Arrival Center provides towels, umbrellas, cabanettes, beach chairs, beverages, light food, and complimentary shuttle service from all areas of the resort to the beach. Spa Palazzo has 44 treatment rooms and an extensive menu of therapies and massages.
